The Next In Line page represents dogs that have been submitted through our relinquishment process but have not yet being fostered through MWBCR. There is no need to fill out an adoption application for them. They may be in a shelter or with a family. The information presented in this page has not been verified and no evaluations have been conducted.
If you are interested in one of the dogs please contact the person listed for each dog. Adoption of NIL dogs is at your own risk and is conducted directly between you and the dog’s custodian.
If you are interested in helping foster a dog please apply to volunteer or foster with MWBCR. Only approved foster homes can foster for MWBCR.

Hayden Mae is a 6 year old female Border Collie. She is currently in Wymore, NE, and looking for a new home with experienced owners who can help her get over some of her anxieties. She is currently in a small apartment with two other dogs, cats, and a human baby which her family think are giving her too much anxiety and it’s unfair to keep her in that environment. While her family loves her, they know that she’s unhappy and feel she would be better suited in a single-family home with no children. She is great with other animals, but needs her own space. Gizmo is a 4 yr old purebred BC male, currently in Waukegan, IL. The current owner took him in two years ago after his owner passed away but currently resides in an apartment that just isn’t an ideal living condition for Gizmo. He is in excellent physical health but has a hearing impairment. Although he is deaf, he responds well to hand signals. He has lived amongst children and other dogs and has had no issues with either. Ringo is a 9 month old, pure bred male currently located in Akron, OH. He was relinquished due to an older dog in the house was getting aggressive to him. And while Ringo never got aggressive, it is no longer fair to keep him in that environment. Reckon is a 7 yr old purebred Border Collie who through no fault of his own has had a rough time of it and has been rehomed a couple of times, but is looking for a new place to call his forever home. He is very sensitive to sound, so needs someone who is experienced with Border Collies and will be patient with him. He has Mild Lumbosacral disease which simply means, unlike most Border Collies, he cannot participate in high impact sports without causing a flare up so would be best suited in a quieter, low to moderately active home. He has no issues with running, hiking, playing with dogs, and chasing toys. He’s great with other animals and children of all ages.
